This sealer strengthens, beautifies, and protects all terracotta pottery. We recommend using this product on any terra cotta that will be exposed to the outdoor elements. The base acts like an invisible shield between the original beauty of the clay pot and harsh sun and rain. Use this sealer to retain the natural look of your pottery pieces. Just brush it on the inside and outside of your pottery.One coat is all that is needed. It is the consistency of milk and dries basically clear. It will add a slight richness to the clay but we think it really does enhance the pot. It will help with mineral deposits forming but not completely stop them over a reasonable period of time.
